Cleveland Clinic London and Bupa Announce New Agreement

LONDON: Cleveland Clinic London and Bupa, the UK’s leading health insurer, have reached an agreement to enable Bupa’s health insurance customers to access Cleveland Clinic London’s comprehensive suite of medical and surgical services, with a focus on cardiovascular health, digestive disease, neuroscience and orthopaedics.

Both Cleveland Clinic London and Bupa have a strong commitment to achieving high quality outcomes for their customers; this agreement will offer them greater convenience and value, expand access to quality care, and reduce healthcare costs through collaboration.

Cleveland Clinic is a leading healthcare provider and has been recognised as the No. 2 hospital in the world by Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals 2021 list. London will be the newest location in Cleveland Clinic’s global footprint and the first in Europe, with the main hospital opening in central London in early 2022. Bupa’s health insurance customers will be able to receive care at Cleveland Clinic London’s Portland Place Outpatient Centre, in the Harley Street Medical Area, which is equipped with the very latest facilities and technology. This location is open.

Feb. 26 marked the beginning of Cleveland Clinic’s centennial year. Founded in 1921, Cleveland Clinic has grown into a 6,000-bed health system that includes a 173-acre main campus near downtown Cleveland, Ohio, 19 hospitals, more than 220 outpatient facilities, and locations in Ohio, southeast Florida, Las Vegas, Toronto, Abu Dhabi and London.

Cleveland Clinic London hospital opens in early 2022. It will have 184 inpatient beds, including 29 ICU beds; eight operating rooms; a full imaging suite; endoscopy and cardiac catheterisation laboratories; day case rooms for surgery; and a full neurological suite with rehabilitation.
