Claudia Mason, MD, a gynecologist with Cleveland Clinic’s Tomsich Health and Wellness Center of Palm Beach County, has been named President of the Palm Beach County Medical Society (PBCMS), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to uniting physicians to serve the common interest of the profession. PBCMS also works on developing and maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards of the medical profession, advocating the interests of physicians and their patients, and collaborating with others to improve the community’s health.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to advance our profession and be an advocate for my colleagues and patients,” said Dr. Mason. “I look forward to working with the Palm Beach County Medical Society to create partnerships between individuals, professionals, institutions and the community to address health issues and disparities.”
Dr. Mason has been with Cleveland Clinic since 2008 and is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecologists and the International Society of Clinical Densitometry. Her specialty interests include menopausal medicine, minimally invasive surgery and menstrual disorders.
She has extensive experience in Medical Quality and serves as Regional Quality Officer for Cleveland Clinic Florida, and she is Cleveland Clinic’s Women’s Professional Staff Association’s Palm Beach Representative. She also served on the Board of Directors for the South Florida Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
