Four Cleveland Clinic hospitals – Akron General, Fairview, Hillcrest and Martin Health – were rated high performing in the latest edition of U.S. News & World Report’s 2022-23 Best Hospitals for Maternity Care.

According to U.S. News, the annual Best Hospitals for Maternity Care is designed to help patients and providers “identify hospitals that provide high-quality maternity care for uncomplicated pregnancies.”

U.S. News evaluated each hospital based on data from a voluntary, self-reported survey submitted by 650 hospitals offering maternity care in the U.S. The Best Hospitals for Maternity Care methodology factors in the following rates for hospitals: early elective delivery, C-section in lower-risk pregnancies, newborn complication, breast milk feeding, among others.

The Best Hospitals for Maternity Care ratings are published online at https://health.usnews.com/best-hospitals/hospital-ratings/maternity.
