LAS VEGAS (Oct. 11, 2023) – Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health will once again commemorate National Alzheimer’s Disease and Family Caregiver Awareness Month in November with “Month of Memories,” a grassroots community fundraising campaign inviting Las Vegans to shop and dine at local businesses in support of Alzheimer’s resources.

From Nov. 1 – 30, restaurants, bars and retailers across the valley will offer specialty cocktails, dishes and promotions to raise awareness for the devastating neurological disease affecting many of the Nevadans walking through the doors of the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health and their dedicated family caregivers, while raising funds to provide no-cost educational, therapeutic and support programming.

“The current need in Nevada is huge. We estimate that about 49,000 residents have Alzheimer’s disease and another 15,000 have other dementias,” said Dylan Wint, M.D., director of the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health. “Recognizing the scope of the burden these diseases place not just on the patient, but their family as well, the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health typically provides a continuum of care that far exceeds what insurance covers. Funds raised during Month of Memories help to ensure we can continue to provide this level of care, at no cost to patients and families, as well as the community.”

Month of Memories participants include:

Americana Atomic Liquors Bottiglia Cucina & Enoteca Carson Kitchen Crazy Pita Rotisserie and Grill Delmonico Steakhouse Emeril’s New Orleans Fish House Ellis Island Kona Grill La Neta Cocina y Lounge Lotus of Siam
