The Cleveland Guardians and Cleveland Clinic today announced a new agreement, continuing the longstanding partnership between two organizations that are committed to serving the Cleveland community.

“For over 30 years, Cleveland Clinic’s partnership with the Guardians has thrived because of our shared values to perform and deliver at the very highest level,” said Tomislav Mihaljevic, M.D., President and CEO of Cleveland Clinic. “Cleveland Clinic and Cleveland Clinic Sports Medicine are pleased to continue providing the highest quality healthcare and medical services for all Cleveland Guardians players and their families, employees and fans. Together, we will continue to foster a stronger, healthier community, where the spirit of teamwork extends from the baseball diamond to the well-being of every individual we serve.”

“Cleveland Clinic has been such an instrumental partner both on and off the field for our team,” said Guardians President of Business Operations Brian Barren. “From their top-of-the-line sports medicine staff that serves our ballplayers and fans at the ballpark every day to their world-renowned care provided to our community right down the street, we are extremely proud to continue to have them as part of the Cleveland Guardians family.”

Cleveland Clinic Sports Medicine specializes in the comprehensive care for athletes of all ages and skill levels with the latest advances in sports health medicine and technologies. Guardians staff, players and their families will have continued access to world class medical care across the Cleveland Clinic enterprise.

“Cleveland Clinic Sports Medicine has proudly stood by the Cleveland Guardians and we are looking forward to this very exciting chapter,” said Thomas Mroz, M.D., Chair of Enterprise Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation at Cleveland Clinic. “Our multidisciplinary team of Sports Medicine physicians, physical therapists and medical specialists throughout Cleveland Clinic will continue to bring their expertise to every aspect of the teams’ care, helping the Guardians stay on the field and maximize their performance.”

As part of the new agreement, Cleveland Clinic will be the entitlement partner of the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Family Deck and will become the presenting partner on the Guardians Family Value Pack ticket offer – with an annual donation of the ticket proceeds benefiting Cleveland Clinic Children’s.

The Official Healthcare Provider of the Cleveland Guardians will continue to appear where Guardians fans have grown accustomed to hearing and seeing them – as the presenting partner of the Cleveland Guardians Radio Network and CLEGuardians.com, as well as their feature signage in the Guardians dugout and outfield wall.

Cleveland Clinic medical staff will continue to care for Guardians fans during all home games at Progressive Field.

The Guardians and Cleveland Clinic will partner in the community and at the ballpark, holding two joint days of service each year of the extended agreement.
