CLEVELAND, Ohio, and HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam: Cleveland Clinic and Vingroup are collaborating to develop the future Vinmec Can Gio International General Hospital based on the Cleveland Clinic model of care, with groundbreaking set for August.
Vinmec Healthcare System, owned by Vingroup, is a non-profit healthcare system dedicated to improving healthcare quality in Vietnam. It currently operates nine hospitals and four clinics in Vietnam.
Vinmec Can Gio will inherit the high international standards of the Vinmec Healthcare System. The new hospital will be planned and constructed from the ground up based on the Cleveland Clinic model of care, integrating comprehensive specialties, advanced clinical centers, and world-class medical equipment.
The new hospital will be located within the Vinhomes Green Paradise, a nearly 7,500-acre world-class coastal township developed by Vingroup in Long Hoa Commune, Can Gio District, Ho Chi Min City township.
“We are honored to continue our collaboration with Vingroup to serve patients in the Vinhomes Green Paradise,” said Tommaso Falcone, M.D., Cleveland Clinic Executive Vice President and President of International and Emerging Markets. “Part of our mission is to bring Cleveland Clinic care to patients around the world. The program for clinicians and nurses will include advanced training in a clinical setting. The hospital’s leadership team will have access to observational opportunities and an in-depth exchange program.
In addition, Vietnamese and international patients of Vinmec Can Gio will have access to Cleveland Clinic’s best practices for clinical care. When necessary, those patients may be referred to Cleveland Clinic hospitals in the U.S.
