Euclid Hospital Community Resource Center Ribbon Cutting

Cleveland Clinic has opened its second community resource center, expanding access to vital medical and social services for residents in Euclid, Ohio.

Mayor Kirsten Gail joined Cleveland Clinic leaders, caregivers, and community partners this week to celebrate the opening of the new center.

The community resource center is located on the first floor of Euclid Hospital in an area formerly occupied by the Health Information Management department.

The hospital's Facilities Engineering team redesigned the area into a more open, functional setting for a variety of services including:

  • A resource closet with hygiene items and gently used clothing
  • A food pantry in partnership with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank
  • Community Health Workers supporting patients with follow-up care after emergency department visits
  • Onsite Medicaid enrollment assistance provided by Centauri Health Solutions, Inc. and Elevate Patient Financial Solutions
  • A computer lab with digital literacy classes and MyChart access for virtual visits, funded by the Ashbury Senior Computer Community Center (ASC3)

Services are available by referral to ensure support reaches those who need it most.

Patients and community members can be referred to the center by a Cleveland Clinic social worker, case manager or community health worker.

To qualify, individuals should reside within Euclid Hospital’s service area or be a current patient or family member, and demonstrate a need for essential items.

“This center reinforces our commitment to caring for the needs of the whole person,” said Teresa Dews, M.D., Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Euclid Hospital. “We recognize that our neighbors may face hardships that affect their health outcomes. This space is designed to meet people where they are and provide immediate, meaningful wrap-around support to improve their wellbeing.”

Euclid Hospital’s new center builds upon the success of Cleveland Clinic’s first community resource center, which opened at South Pointe Hospital in 2024.

The center was funded through a Cleveland Clinic Catalyst Grant awarded to Sundrea Wilcox, Program Manager in Community Health. Catalyst Grants, awarded twice a year, provide up to $100,000 for caregiver-led projects with strong potential for impact within one year.

Since 2018, the Cleveland Clinic Catalyst Grant program has invested over $20 million to fund more than 390 projects selected from 2,700+ caregiver ideas—supporting innovations that expand patient services, advance wellness, and drive medical breakthroughs.
