Erie Expansion

To meet growing demand for orthopedic and sports rehabilitation services in northwest Pennsylvania, Cleveland Clinic Rehabilitation and Sports Therapy has opened a new outpatient physical therapy facility in Erie, improving access to specialized care for patients in the region.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Tuesday, Jan. 13, to celebrate the opening of the new location and the first day of patient care.

This facility, located at 3266 W. 26th St., Erie, Pennsylvania, is designed to help patients recover from orthopedic injuries, joint replacements and sports-related conditions.

The newly opened Erie location offers comprehensive physical therapy services, including:

  • Hip and knee rehabilitation
  • Total and partial joint replacement care
  • Neck and spine therapy
  • Sports injury treatment
  • Shoulder, SIJ, foot and ankle, hand, wrist and elbow care

Specialized programs include:

  • Functional movement training
  • Gait analysis
  • Instrument-assisted scar and soft tissue management
  • Manual therapy
  • Orthopedic and sports injury recovery
  • Return-to-sport programs
  • Fracture aftercare

This facility will benefit our existing Cleveland Clinic patients in the area and the community and serve as a platform for others like it in the future. It will offer a wide range of services that patients now have access to outside of Northeast Ohio.

“Being able to bring a sports therapy and rehabilitation location to Erie also holds a very special place in my heart,” said Gary Calabrese, DPT, senior director, Rehabilitation and Sports Therapy, who grew up in the area.
