Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital celebrated a major milestone in its expansion as one of the final steel beams was lifted into place on Wednesday, June 24. Caregivers and hospital leadership signed the beam in the days leading up to the ceremony.
Fairview Hospital has served the Kamm’s Corners neighborhood for decades, providing patients with nationally recognized care, and serves as the anchor hospital for Cleveland Clinic’s west submarket. The expansion project includes vital updates to the campus, including a new parking garage, medical office building and the Moll Cancer Center.
“We’re proud to provide safe, high-quality, compassionate care, and re-investing in these facilities will improve our ability to deliver this care for years to come,” said Neil Smith, D.O., President of Fairview Hospital and Cleveland Clinic’s west submarket. “We’ve worked hard to create a campus plan that serves the needs of patients now and in the future, and it is a reflection of our commitment to the West Side.”
Cleveland Clinic collaborated closely with the West Park Kamm’s Neighborhood Development Corporation and the City of Cleveland Planning Commission to design a modernized campus that meets both healthcare and community priorities.
The new cancer center, medical office building and parking structure are anticipated to open in July of 2027.
