VeloSano

Registration for VeloSano 4, the annual cycling event to raise money for cancer research at Cleveland Clinic, is now open to the public. The event will take place July 21-23, 2017, at Mall B in downtown Cleveland. To register, visit velosano.org.

VeloSano Riders commit to personally raise a pre-determined amount based on the distance of their ride. One-day ride options range from 12 to 100-miles and a two-day experience is also available. Routes start and finish in downtown Cleveland and are fully supported with rest stops, support-and-gear vehicles, and much more. People can also get involved as a Virtual Rider, meaning they’ll raise funds but not ride, or as one of the thousand-plus volunteers needed during VeloSano weekend. Volunteer registration opens in the spring.

New for VeloSano 4:

  • Bring-a-friend $25 registration credit for returning participants who refer a new rider (new rider must indicate name of referral when registering) by May 31
  • Youth/young adult and/or military offer where riders between the ages of 8-24 and/or those who are current or former military will receive a 50 percent discount to the standard fundraising minimums associated with each distance
  • A 75-mile Challenge option
  • New, younger age requirements per distance

Since its inception, VeloSano has raised more than $8 million for the fight against cancer.

VeloSano 3 in 2016 alone raised $3.37 million and included nearly 1,600 cyclists from 24 states and two countries, pedaling more than 81,000 miles. Thanks to VeloSano partners whose support covers the operational event costs, 100 percent of funds raised by participants are given to Cleveland Clinic cancer research.

About VeloSano

Latin for “swift cure,” VeloSano is a major community fundraising initiative in which participants raise money for cancer research through the sport of cycling. Whether you are an avid cyclist, a compassionate crusader, or a spirited fan, you can be a part of the VeloSano family. Thanks to the support and dedication of our corporate partners, every dollar raised by VeloSano participants advances cancer research at Cleveland Clinic. In just three years, VeloSano has generated over $8 million all of which is already hard at work in the fight against cancer. For more information, please visit velosano.org.
