Cleveland Clinic Innovations is honored that out of the 200 companies heralded by Fortune as most innovative for 2024 Cleveland Clinic is ranked #33! Cleveland Clinic's commitment to innovation and the future of patient care is at the heart of everything we do. Out of the 200 companies heralded by Fortune as most innovative for 2024, 44 are in healthcare and 21 are health systems.

• Since 2010, Enspire DBS Therapy, Inc. - a Cleveland Clinic portfolio company - has been working on an implantable neuromodulation therapy for post-stroke recovery. A new Cleveland Clinic study published in Nature Medicine shows how deep brain stimulation is promising for helping stroke patients regain control of their movements. We are excited to lead potentially life-changing innovation for stroke patients!
• Anixa Biosciences, Inc. Biosciences has announced an exciting a joint development agreement (JDA) with Cleveland Clinic to develop even more groundbreaking cancer vaccines! Together, we're pioneering innovative solutions to fight cancer and improve patient outcomes. Anixa Biosciences currently collaborates with Cleveland Clinic on breast cancer and ovarian cancer vaccines.
• Prevent Biometrics' “Intelligent Mouthguard” system, developed from Cleveland Clinic technology, has been adopted by World Rugby for use in professional athletes! The system records every impact to the head and accurately reports data that can identify athletes who may require a concussion assessment. The validated data from the system are incorporated into on-field head injury assessments and could be used for amateur and youth head-injury assessments.
• Cleveland Clinic inventor Hani Najm, MD, Chair, Pediatric & Congenital Heart Surgery at Cleveland Clinic, and Ryan Klatte, Senior Principal Research Engineer, share the journey of collaboration in creating a 3D printed heart helped advance what is capable in congenital heart surgery. By creating a 3D printed heart, Dr. Najm was able to determine in advance how long connections needed to be and where to stitch, which brought outstanding value during the time of the operation and led to greater patient care.
