AKRON, Ohio: Cleveland Clinic Children’s held a ribbon-cutting ceremony today to celebrate opening its first pediatric primary care and specialty services hub in Akron.
The new services at Cleveland Clinic Akron General’s Medical Office Building, 676 South Broadway St., complement women’s healthcare available on site. The new pediatric primary care and specialty services office has 18 exam rooms, including rooms for echocardiograms, pulmonary testing, allergy testing observation, and two behavioral health rooms. Primary care services begin on Monday, with specialty services to begin in the following weeks.
“This expansion in downtown Akron reflects our commitment to improving access to high-quality specialized pediatric care in the region,” said Rita Pappas, M.D., Interim Chief of Cleveland Clinic Children’s. “Families can now receive specialized services closer to home and for more residents of Summit County.”
The new location will have 23 physician providers and offer a comprehensive range of pediatric care services, including:
