Cleveland Clinic Ranked No. 2 Hospital in the World for 7th Consecutive Year by Newsweek

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and Cleveland Clinic Fairview also rank among the Top 250 hospitals in the world

For the seventh consecutive year, Cleveland Clinic is the No. 2 hospital in the world, according to Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals 2025 list.

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (No. 172) and Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital (No. 225) are also recognized among the Top 250 hospitals in the world.

In addition to the worldwide rankings, Newsweek also rated six Cleveland Clinic locations among the best hospitals in the United States:

  • Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital – 37
  • Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital – 48
  • Cleveland Clinic Akron General – 81
  • Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital – 92
  • Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital – 299
  • Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is ranked the No. 1 hospital in the United Arab Emirates.

In separate rankings released in 2024, Newsweek named Cleveland Clinic the World's Best Smart Hospital and one of the World’s Best Specialized Hospitals, including the best in the world for urology. Cleveland Clinic placed in all 12 specialties ranked by Newsweek, with eight specialties ranking among the Top 5 in the world and 10 ranking among the Top 10 in the world. In addition to urology, the specialties include cardiac surgery, cardiology, gastroenterology, obstetrics and gynecology, pulmonology, endocrinology, neurosurgery, neurology, orthopedics, oncology and pediatrics.

The World’s Best Hospitals rankings are based on surveys and data from hospitals in 30 countries. Newsweek partners with Statista to compile the annual rankings. Data sources include opinions from more than 85,000 medical experts globally; publicly available data on patient experience and hospital quality metrics; and patient-reported outcomes measures.
