LONDON: Cleveland Clinic London is now offering patients access to donanemab, a newly approved Alzheimer’s therapy shown to slow the progression of the disease. This follows the introduction of lecanemab in 2024, further expanding access to innovative treatment options for eligible patients.
Both therapies represent the first disease-modifying treatments for Alzheimer’s available in the UK in over two decades – offering renewed hope for adults with mild cognitive impairment or mild dementia due to Alzheimer’s.
Cleveland Clinic has played a key role in the global research and development of Alzheimer's therapies, contributing to phase 3 clinical trial of lecanemab and advancing the diagnostic approaches such as biomarker-based detection, including amyloid PET imaging to confirm eligibility.
These offerings build on Cleveland Clinic London’s commitment to innovative, patient-centred neurological care – delivering access to transformative treatments for those affected by Alzheimer’s.
The multi-disciplinary model of care and specialised outpatient services Cleveland Clinic London offers makes it uniquely positioned to provide these therapies through coordinated support across neurology, imaging and clinical teams.
