Cleveland Clinic Children’s ranked nationally on Newsweek magazine’s America’s Best Children’s Hospitals list in all eight specialties. This ranking recognizes the leading children’s hospitals in the U.S., featuring the top 50 hospitals.

Cleveland Clinic Children’s placed in all eight pediatric subspecialities: Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery (2) Endocrinology (9) Gastroenterology and Gastrointestinal Surgery (16) Neonatology (11) Neurology and Neurosurgery (48) Oncology (16) Orthopedics (7) Pulmonology (23).

“At Cleveland Clinic Children’s, our team of caregivers remains steadfast in their commitment to delivering exceptional care to our youngest patients, from routine check-ups to the treatment of rare and complex conditions,” said Rita Pappas, M.D., interim chief of Cleveland Clinic Children’s.

“Our pediatric specialists are not only providing life-changing care but are also leading the way in groundbreaking research aimed at addressing some of the most intricate health challenges families face,” she said.

Cleveland Clinic Children’s in partnership with Cleveland Clinic’s top-ranked Heart, Vascular and Thoracic Institute (HVTI), is home to the only pediatric and adult congenital heart center in Northeast Ohio, offering comprehensive cardiac care from in-utero through adulthood. The pediatric and adult congenital heart center specializes in treating the most complex heart disease in children and adult congenital heart patients.

“This recognition reflects not only our state-of-the-art care and innovative treatments but also the compassionate approach we take with every patient,” said Bradley Marino M.D, department chair of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiovascular Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Children’s.

“We remain focused on advancing cardiovascular health through research and innovative care, and we are proud to be recognized as a leader in this field,” he said.

The rankings — presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., an industry ranking provider — were created to provide patients and family members with a comprehensive resource for informed decision-making.

The lists were calculated based on four data sources:

  • Peer Recommendations: Healthcare professionals were invited to recommend top hospitals in pediatric care across the U.S.
  • Hospital Quality Metrics: Objective data on hospital performance, including certifications, accreditations, and specialty-specific indicators, were evaluated.
  • Patient Experience: Survey results reflecting patients’ satisfaction with their hospital stays were considered.
  • Patient-Reported Outcome Measures: Where available, data on outcomes reported directly by patients were included to reflect the impact of care on quality of life.
