Cleveland Clinic patients will soon be able to schedule certain elective eye and orthopedic surgeries and procedures on Saturdays at additional locations.

Beginning this month, Cleveland Clinic’s Cole Eye Institute on Main Campus will offer procedures on Saturdays. Additionally, Medina Hospital, Marymount Hospital and Marymount Ambulatory Surgery Center will offer weekend elective outpatient orthopedic surgeries and procedures.

Cleveland Clinic is dedicated to providing easier access to appointments and procedures for patients. In June 2025, Cleveland Clinic announced expanded weeknight and weekend specialty appointments at many Northeast Ohio locations and began offering Saturday surgeries and procedures at several regional hospitals. Earlier this year, it began offering Saturday surgeries and procedures at its main campus as well.

“We are excited to be able to add more specialties and locations to our expanded hours initiative,” said Scott Steele, M.D., President of the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus Submarket. “We are committed to meeting patients where they are and providing them with options for care at times that work with their schedules. We will continue to look for ways to make getting the right care easier for our patients.”

Since Cleveland Clinic added Saturday surgery and procedure hours, care teams have performed nearly 1,600 weekend cases. Endoscopies and chronic pain treatments make up the highest volume of weekend procedures.

Cleveland Clinic also offers evening and weekend locations for outpatient specialty appointments at dozens of locations in Northeast Ohio, many of which were added in 2025. From July 2025 through May 2026, more than 33,000 specialty appointment slots were added. Many primary care adult and pediatric providers were already providing care during evenings and weekends throughout our health system.

These new options add to the ways in which patients can access Cleveland Clinic care. Cleveland Clinic offers in-person and virtual visits as well as walk-in urgent, express and emergency care seven days a week.
