Alexa seems to know just about everything.
And now – with a boost from Cleveland Clinic – the voice-activated virtual assistant from Amazon can offer great health tips, too.
Beginning in November, Alexa is offering free audio clips of daily health tips curated by the marketing team at Cleveland Clinic, using content from the hospital’s popular Health Essentials website. Here’s one of Alexa’s first Cleveland Clinic messages:
A little bit of butter is NOT a sin! Saturated fats have been given a bum rap. In moderation they aren’t so bad, Cleveland Clinic experts say. They can help reduce bad cholesterol levels in your blood. That can lower your risk of heart disease and stroke. So treat yourself!
Consumers who own an Amazon Echo or a variety of other devices embedded with Alexa technology can add it to their daily Flash Briefing, a customized news feed.
