We are delighted to welcome our newest class of students (pictured below), who possess a wealth of experiences, notable accomplishments and varied interests. While most have majored in the sciences during their undergraduate years, others have majored or minored in German literature and culture; philosophy and bioethics; art history; and global health, culture and society.
Members of the class have studied or volunteered in 48 countries around the world, including Bermuda, Cambodia, Ecuador, Ethiopia, France, Iceland, Israel, Liberia, Nicaragua, Poland, Tobago, Taiwan, Vietnam and the United Kingdom.
As is typical of all our students, all members of the incoming class have served as tutors, mentors, teachers or coaches. They have held at least 83 leadership positions and have logged 145 volunteer experiences including many in healthcare.
All the students have worked on notable research. Collectively, they’ve earned 80 awards, grants and scholarships. They have been involved in 79 oral presentations and have 64 scientific publications to their credit.
Our students have engaged in rich experiences including attending a Nobel Award ceremony; running with the bulls in Cuenca, Spain; trekking for 10 days through the Sacred Valley of Peru to reach Machu Picchu; climbing eight peaks in the Swiss Alps; riding elephants; training in ballet for 18 years; serving as an offensive lineman in football at Princeton; and climbing part of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
This new class of students has engaged in many sports, from playing basketball, tennis and soccer to horseback riding, weight lifting, rowing and sailing. Music and dance traditionally play a large role in the lives of our new students. Several are singers and musicians, including those who play the piano and guitar, and one who creates electronic music. Many students practice dance including classical ballet, tap, West African, classic Persian, jazz and salsa.
Collectively, the students speak 16 languages, mostly Spanish, Mandarin and German, but also Burmese, Farsi, Hebrew, Hindi, Korean, Rajasthani and Telugu, to name but a few.
Please join us in giving a warm welcome to the class of 2026!
