While Debra Linfield (’22) was in South Florida for emergency medicine rotations at Bethesda Hospital in Boynton Beach and Delray Medical Center in Delray Beach, she had the opportunity to meet up with Shanteria Dixon, MD (‘13), who is practicing emergency medicine at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach.

“We met up for lunch to discuss CCLCM and emergency medicine,” says Debra, who was delighted to not only connect with an alumnus of CCLCM, but also one who is practicing in Debra’s clinical area of choice.

“This rotation further instilled in me that emergency medicine is strikingly collaborative,” says Debra. “The nurses, respiratory therapists, medics and physicians partner to ensure the best care for each patient. I’m excited to be joining such an incredible field!”
