Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital welcomes board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon Charles Andrew Salzberg, MD.

Dr. Salzberg is now accepting new patients at the Scully-Welsh Cancer Center located at 3555 10th Court, Vero Beach, Fla. To schedule an appointment, call 772.563.4673.

Dr. Salzberg has had a 35-year career and is recognized as an international leader in the field of plastic surgery. He most recently was the system chief of plastic surgery at The Mount Sinai Hospital Icahn School of Medicine in New York City where he directed a large program including eight hospitals and a residency program.

A renowned surgeon, Dr. Salzberg is the pioneer of the direct to implant or “one-step” breast reconstruction, and he has extensive experience in breast reconstruction. Dr. Salzberg will be part of the comprehensive breast cancer program at the Scully-Welsh Cancer Center led by breast cancer surgeon Eleni Anastasia Tousimis, MD.

Dr. Salzberg received his medical degree from the University of Florida. He completed a general surgery residency, followed by a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery, at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.
