To enhance access to high-quality care in the Mahoning Valley, Cleveland Clinic announced today that 18 healthcare providers will join the Cleveland Clinic health system. The fifteen primary care providers and three advanced practice providers will start to see patients as Cleveland Clinic caregivers on February 18. They were formerly affiliated with Steward Medical Group.

“We are honored to welcome caregivers who are dedicated to providing the highest standards of primary care to Mahoning Valley residents,” said Dr. Brian J. Harte, M.D., MHM, president of the East Submarket of Cleveland Clinic’s Northeast Ohio Market. “We are committed to meeting the needs of our communities and look forward to serving the patients in this region.”

To better serve local residents, providers will see patients at new locations in Austintown, Kinsman and Niles in addition to the current medical offices in Austintown and Warren. Patients can continue to see their same healthcare providers at their preferred locations.

“Primary care physicians provide critical healthcare services for individuals and families,” said James Gutierrez, M.D. Chairman of Cleveland Clinic’s Primary Care Institute. “Access to a primary care provider is essential to keep up with preventive care, receive treatment for illnesses, manage certain chronic health conditions and get referred to see a specialist when needed.”

Cleveland Clinic providers and patients are connected to the health system’s large network of specialists, resources, and mission, including 23 hospitals and more than 275 outpatient facilities. Cleveland Clinic is consistently recognized in the U.S. and throughout the world for its expertise and care. In the 2024 State of Cleveland Clinic address, CEO and President Tom Mihaljevic, M.D., emphasized the health system’s continued commitment to caring for patients, caregivers, the community and the organization.
