Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital Recognized By Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients for Liver Transplant Program Excellence

Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital has been recognized by the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR) for excellence in its Liver Transplant Program, earning a designation that reflects outstanding patient outcomes and clinical performance.

“With an estimated post-transplant patient survival rate exceeding 98%, Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital demonstrates continued leadership in delivering high-quality, patient-centered transplant care,” said Xaralambos Bobby Zervos, D.O., Medical Director of the Liver Disease Program, Cleveland Clinic Florida Market. “Being recognized as a national leader in liver transplant outcomes is a testament to our multidisciplinary team’s expertise and unwavering commitment to our patients.”

According to SRTR data from January 2026, Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital achieved the highest one-year survival rate with a functioning graft, reaching 98.42%. This surpasses the national rate of 92.37%.

SRTR provides comprehensive, risk-adjusted outcomes data on transplant programs nationwide. Data included in the SRTR database are primarily collected by the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network and supplemented by information from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and other organizations.

As of Jan. 13, 2026, Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital has conducted 638 liver transplants, further underscoring the program’s depth of experience and long-standing impact on patients across South Florida and beyond.
