Kelly Hancock, DNP, RN, NE-BC, FAAN
Kelly Hancock, DNP, RN, NE-BC, FAAN, has been named Chief Caregiver Officer at Cleveland Clinic. This is the first position of its kind at Cleveland Clinic and was created to align all aspects of caregiver engagement with a focus on enhancing our organization’s unique team-based culture. In this new role, Dr. Hancock will serve as executive leader for the Nursing Institute and Human Resources. This new approach will enable the future team-based delivery of superior patient care and continue to position Cleveland Clinic as one of the best places to work in healthcare.
Dr. Hancock has served as Executive Chief Nursing Officer, Cleveland Clinic Health System and Chief Nursing Officer, Cleveland Clinic main campus, since July 2011. She began her career at Cleveland Clinic in 1993 as a nurse associate. As an executive leader, she has provided a strong administrative and clinical atmosphere that promotes staff education, staff development, and cohesion between all disciplines, professional nursing care and world class patient care throughout the health system.
Dr. Hancock received her DNP from Chamberlain College of Nursing in 2015 and she obtained her MSN from Breen School of Nursing at Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, Ohio. She is a board certified Nurse Executive through the American Nurse Credentialing Center, a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executive , the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, and the Honor Society of Nursing – Sigma Theta Tau International.
