Richard Whisnant MD

Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital is pleased to welcome Richard Whisnant, MD as Pathology Chair.

Dr. Whisnant earned his medical degree at University of TexasSouthwestern Medical School at Dallas and completed his Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He went on to complete the Cytopathology Fellowship at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Dr. Whisnant is board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and cytopathology by the American Board of Pathology.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital Dr. Whisnant was Pathologist and Medical Director with HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital and HCA Florida Englewood Hospital.
