Resident Preceptors Earn Outstanding Educator Recognition

one gold star among many silver stars

Ninety-one residents across Cleveland Clinic have been recognized as outstanding preceptors for Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine year 3 medical students during their core clerkships during the 2022 calendar year. This prestigious recognition is based on a set of criteria that includes the frequency and quality of feedback provided to the medical students by the residents and the students’ evaluation of the residents.

During their core clerkships, students learn by working closely with residents who take on the significant responsibility of teaching, ensuring that students have an exceptional learning experience. Giving frequent, timely, specific, non-judgmental and useful feedback is a critical part of teaching.

Each resident, some of whom are CCLCM alumni, was presented with a CCLCM educator pin as a token of appreciation and recognition for their vital contributions toward educating future physicians.
