Sixty-one Cleveland Clinic residents have been recognized as outstanding preceptors for their role in educating year 3 Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University students during their core clerkships. Recipients of this prestigious honor, which celebrates mentorship during the 2024 calendar year, were chosen based on criteria including quality and frequency of feedback provided to students as well as student evaluations of the residents.
Resident preceptors are integral to the CCLCM’s core clerkship programs. Students work closely with residents, who serve as both teachers and mentors. By providing students with high quality, non-judgmental and timely feedback, residents help students improve their practical skills and grow more confident as caregivers.
Each honored resident was presented with a CCLCM educator pin as a token of recognition for their vital contributions toward educating future physicians.
