Cleveland Clinic will host its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Celebration on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026. The virtual program will be available for on-demand viewing starting at 8 a.m. ET.

The theme for this year’s event is inspired by Dr. King’s quote: “Everybody can be great because everybody can serve.”

The program will feature a fireside chat between Tom Mihaljevic, M.D., CEO and President of Cleveland Clinic and holder of the Morton L. Mandel CEO Chair, and the Rev. Otis Moss Jr., a dear friend of Dr. King and pastor emeritus of Olivet Institutional Baptist Church. Their conversation will reflect upon Dr. King’s advocacy for public health and social justice as well as the critical work still needed to address social drivers of health in our communities.

The Rev. Dr. Moss is one of the nation’s most influential leaders. While attending Morehouse College in Atlanta, he developed a close relationship with the King family. He went on to become a trusted advisor to Dr. King, working alongside him in the Southern Christian Leadership Conference to advance nonviolent social change. Over the course of his distinguished career, he has received eight honorary doctorates, authored multiple works, advised U.S. presidents and was inducted into the International Civil Rights Walk of Fame in 2007.
