LONDON: Cleveland Clinic London has been awarded accreditation by the Joint Advisory Group on Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (JAG), a nationally recognised benchmark for high-quality endoscopy services in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

The accreditation recognises Cleveland Clinic London’s commitment to delivering safe, effective and patient‑centred endoscopy care in line with rigorous national standards.

Hosted by the Royal College of Physicians, JAG accreditation is regarded as the gold standard for gastrointestinal endoscopy services. The programme assesses services across a comprehensive set of criteria, including clinical quality and safety, patient experience, workforce, training, leadership and governance.

Achieving JAG accreditation follows a robust and independent assessment process, during which Cleveland Clinic London’s endoscopy service demonstrated excellence in areas such as patient safety, clinical effectiveness, service delivery and continuous quality improvement. The accreditation provides assurance to patients, clinicians and regulators that services meet nationally recognised standards for endoscopy care.

“JAG accreditation is an important milestone for Cleveland Clinic London and reflects the dedication and expertise of our multidisciplinary endoscopy team,” said Professor Richard Cohen, Medical Director, Cleveland Clinic London. “It underscores our commitment to delivering the highest standards of patient‑centred care, grounded in safety, quality and compassion.”

Cleveland Clinic London’s endoscopy unit provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic and therapeutic services, including colonoscopy, upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, and hepatobiliary procedures. Care is delivered by specialist clinicians, nurses and allied health professionals working within a collaborative, team‑based model, supported by robust clinical governance and a focus on continuous improvement.

The JAG accreditation further reinforces Cleveland Clinic London’s commitment to transparency, quality assurance and delivering high‑quality outcomes for patients requiring endoscopy services.
