Cleveland Clinic and Molina Healthcare of Ohio announced today that Molina will now include Cleveland Clinic in its Medicaid network, marking the first time that the two enterprises have contracted together for Medicaid coverage.

“We are deeply committed to the Medicaid population in Ohio and want to ensure they have options and access to Cleveland Clinic care,” said Kevin Sears, Cleveland Clinic’s executive director of Market & Network Services. “This new relationship allows us to provide our patients with additional choices.”

Effective Aug. 1, 2017, Molina Healthcare of Ohio’s Medicaid members will have access to the entire Cleveland Clinic network. This expansion will increase access to care for Ohioans on Medicaid.

“We are thrilled to be increasing our members’ access to high quality care by adding the Cleveland Clinic to our network,” said Ami Cole, president of Molina Healthcare of Ohio. “As we take a holistic approach to improve outcomes for our members, it is very exciting to be partnering with this leader in population health.”

An extended enrollment period for Ohio Medicaid is currently available now through Nov. 30, 2017. The Medicaid enrollment period gives patients an opportunity to change their Medicaid health insurance plan. Patients may select another Medicaid plan through the Ohio Medicaid consumer hotline at 800.324.8680 or by visiting, www.ohiomh.com/EnrollOptions.aspx.
